NOMINATION FORM FOR 2023 HEART AWARDS
The Winners of the HEART Awards will be announced at the 20th Anniversary celebration taking place on Thursday, October 26, at the JW Marriott in downtown Tampa.
Nominations Open Friday, August 4th, 2023, and must be received no later than Friday, August 25, 2023, by 5 p.m. – ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED
Nomination Procedures
- Nominations may be self-submitted by the nominee or submitted by a supporter or colleague.
- Please select only the one category that you feel is best suited to the nominee. HEA reserves the right to place a nominee in a category.
- Nominations must be submitted online only.
- Prior winners are eligible.
- Nominees will be contacted for additional information.
- The nomination deadline is Friday, August 25, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
Eligibility Requirements
Highly accomplished professionals and supporters of the housing community are recognized each year with a highly coveted HEART Award in a variety of categories.
Honorees and winners will be recognized at a special awards gala on October 26, 2023, at the JW Marriott in downtown Tampa.
Evaluation Criteria
- Community involvement (volunteer work, advocacy)
- Leadership ability (public profile, reputation)
- Influence (impact on the housing community, on public policy, or on quality of life).
How it works
- The nominee will receive an email containing a questionnaire to be completed on their own behalf, immediately upon being nominated. You may choose to inform the person you have nominated to keep an eye out for this email and check their spam, otherwise, all nominations are kept anonymous.
- All submitted packets will be reviewed by the Housing and Education judging panel to determine the honorees. To be considered, the nominee MUST submit their completed questionnaire by the due date. If chosen as an honoree, they will then be notified individually and will receive a complimentary ticket to the October 26th event.
Again, the nominee will receive a questionnaire to complete on their own behalf, which MUST be returned by Friday – September 1, 2023, to be considered. Finalists will be announced on or around September 1, 2023.
Tips for nominees when completing the packet.
- The more detail you can provide, the stronger your submission will be. This is your time to shine, so please keep all humbleness aside.
- Answer all the questions first in a Word document then cut and paste into the online form. This will allow you to keep a copy of your answers for your files, as we cannot provide a copy for you. This will also assist with word count and grammatical errors.
- References are strongly recommended, however not required.
